| The 'Potato Wharf'
building is famous in Manchester. The building is totally surrounded
by water. When it was realised there was no way to position ladders
or a cherrypicker for window cleaning we were called in to 'design
out' the problem. Datona designed the rail and the special 'saddle
brackets', which were fixed back to the internal steel work. Our engineers
had to fix through the facia and both weld & bolt the brackets
to steel columns inside the offices. The rail had to follow the contour
and pitch of the roof. Datona handled all calculations, fabrication
and installation. |
